🎨 Design Description

The reverse depicts a beautifully coloured purple dragon alongside a symbolic pearl representing wisdom and enlightenment.

The colour blue is traditionally associated with peace, prosperity, healing, eternity, and the water element within Chinese culture.

Also included are the Chinese character for ‘dragon’, the inscription ‘YEAR OF THE DRAGON’, and The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.

The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II together with the 2012 year-date and denomination.
