In Chinese mythology, the phoenix is a revered symbol of honesty, benevolence, and wisdom. Its rare appearances are believed to herald harmony, happiness, and prosperity.

Traditionally depicted as a fusion of multiple birds—including the pheasant, mandarin duck, peacock, parrot, and swallow—the phoenix embodies beauty, balance, and renewal, making it a powerful cultural icon.

🎨 Design Description

The reverse portrays an immortal phoenix composed of various bird elements, symbolising unity and perfection. The bird holds a paulownia flower in its beak—believed to be the only tree on which the phoenix will perch.
