El Día de los Muertos is one of Mexico’s most celebrated cultural traditions, honouring departed loved ones through music, candles, flowers, and artistic expression. The Sunrise Edition captures the warmth, emotion, and spirit of remembrance through vivid sunrise colours and festive symbolism.

🎨 Design Description

The reverse portrays a beautifully detailed female guitarist adorned in traditional sugar skull (calavera) makeup and crowned with roses. She passionately plays a decorated guitar before a glowing sunrise backdrop illuminating a charming Mexican town.

Lanterns, candles, and festive papel picado decorations enrich the scene, symbolising remembrance, celebration, and cultural heritage. The full-surface colourisation creates exceptional warmth and visual depth across the design.The obverse features Mexico’s official Coat of Arms surrounded by historic eagle-and-serpent emblems, reinforcing the coin’s strong national symbolism.
