Presented by Power Coin and struck from 1oz of .999 fine silver, this first release portrays the Virgin Mary watching over the Christ Child on the night of Bethlehem. Multiple finishes and antiqued coloration give the composition an evocative, historic character, while the distinctive wavy silhouette recalls the appearance of a freshly printed photograph.

🎨 Design Description

The reverse returns to the night of Bethlehem, portraying the Virgin Mary watching over the Nativity. Her hands are clasped while her gaze rests upon the Child, creating an intimate expression of tenderness and silent devotion.

Antiqued coloration gives the scene an aged character intended to evoke the atmosphere of the sacred night. The reverse also bears the inscription “VIRGIN MARY”.

The obverse portrays the Street of Nativity and references the historic artisan tradition of Naples. It also incorporates the “2$” face value, the Public Seal of Niue and the “2026” year of issue.
