🎨 Design Description
The coloured reverse portrays a lively village filled with decorated gingerbread houses, candy canes and gingerbread people enjoying Christmas activities. Characters can be seen carolling, sledding, building snowmen, carrying gifts and playing throughout the festive scene.
At the centre is a colour-enamelled gingerbread man figurine encased within the coin. The reverse also includes the coin’s weight, purity, 2026 year-date and The Perth Mint’s traditional “P” mintmark.
The obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, the $2 monetary denomination and a decorative pattern of stars surrounding the central gingerbread insert.
