Bringing together the 2024 Kookaburra Kaa-Kaa and 2026 Turtle Yaunati releases, the collection contains a total of 4oz of 99.99% pure silver. Both coins combine individually distinctive antiqued surfaces with vibrant colour to showcase original Indigenous Australian artwork.

With each release limited to a maximum of only 2,000 coins, this collection brings together two culturally significant interpretations of iconic Australian wildlife.

🎨 Design Description

🐦 2024 Kookaburra Kaa-Kaa – The kookaburra features markings symbolising white ochre. An intricate arrangement of coloured dots surrounds the bird, with shades of blue representing morning, daytime and evening skies.

Green represents leaves during the Djeran season of April and May, while brown represents the Kambarang, Birak and Bunuru seasons from October through March. The design also features the 2024 year-date and special ‘P125’ mintmark commemorating The Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary.

🐢 2026 Turtle Yaunati – The coloured reverse depicts several turtles surrounded by traditional Indigenous symbols representing their journey through time, water and connection to Country.

Concentric circles represent waterholes and the ocean, while migration paths follow ocean currents. Jellyfish symbolise the turtles’ primary food source, dotted circles represent generations and the cycle of life, and a trail of turtle eggs signifies renewal and the turtles’ return to their birthplace.

The reverse also includes the 2026 year-date and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. The obverse features the Dan Thorne effigy of King Charles III.
